Terms of Service

The short version: your resumes, documents and job data stay yours, our AI writes suggestions rather than guarantees, and you can stop using HiredFolio or cancel a paid plan whenever you like. The full terms are below.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HiredFolio, including hiredfolio.com, the web application, the browser extension, AI-powered features, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate information when creating or using an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that happens under your account.
• If you use social sign-in, you also agree to the terms of the provider you choose.

What HiredFolio provides

HiredFolio is a job-search platform that helps users create resumes and cover letters, upload and manage documents, track applications, publish profile pages, and use AI-assisted career tools. We may add, remove, improve, or discontinue features at any time.

Your content

• You keep your rights to the resumes, cover letters, files, profile content, job data, and other material you submit to the Services.
• You give HiredFolio a limited right to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
• You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful, accurate, and does not violate anyone else's rights.

AI features

HiredFolio includes AI-assisted features such as resume extraction, rewriting, analysis, and content generation. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any generated output before you use or share it.

HiredFolio is a productivity tool. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, hiring outcomes, or legal compliance of any document produced through the Services.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful activity;
• upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with the security or availability of the Services;
• reverse engineer, scrape, abuse rate limits, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account;
• use the Services to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.

Paid plans, billing, and refunds

Some features may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a paid plan:

• payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider we use;
• subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled;
• you can cancel future renewals through the billing portal or any cancellation flow we make available;
• unless we say otherwise in writing, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change pricing, packaging, or plan limits prospectively.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Services available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, updates, abuse prevention, or security issues.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the Services in a way that could harm HiredFolio or others.

You can stop using the Services at any time.

Intellectual property

The Services, including our software, branding, design, and underlying technology, remain the property of HiredFolio or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Services to you.

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." HiredFolio disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HiredFolio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Services.

If liability cannot be excluded, HiredFolio's total liability for claims arising out of or related to the Services will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to HiredFolio for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• 100 USD.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted on the Services unless a later date is stated.
