This Privacy Policy explains how HiredFolio collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use hiredfolio.com, the web application, the browser extension, and related services.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information such as your name, email address, profile image, language preference, and sign-in provider details.
• Profile and workspace data such as resumes, cover letters, job applications, goals, feedback, settings, portfolio content, and profile information you create or store in HiredFolio.
• Files and uploads such as resume PDFs, images, and other files you choose to upload, plus structured data extracted from those files.
• Billing data such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, price ID, and billing period details. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on HiredFolio servers.
• Technical and usage data such as browser details, device details, IP-related data, session information, referrer data, public profile visit events, and identifiers stored through cookies or local storage.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• provide, maintain, and secure the Services;
• authenticate users and manage accounts;
• store and organize resumes, cover letters, jobs, and profile content;
• process subscriptions and manage billing;
• power AI-assisted features such as extraction, analysis, rewriting, and generation;
• personalize language and product experience;
• monitor performance, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the Services;
• communicate with you about your account, support issues, or important service updates.

AI processing

When you use AI-powered features, HiredFolio may send relevant content you provide, such as resume text, job descriptions, or prompts, to third-party model providers used to operate those features. This processing is limited to delivering the requested functionality.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete, so you should review it before relying on it.

Cookies and local storage

HiredFolio uses cookies and browser storage to:

• keep sessions working;
• remember language and product preferences;
• store authentication tokens on your device when needed for the app to function;
• measure visits and interactions on public profile pages through visitor and session identifiers.

You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, but some features may stop working correctly if you disable them.

When we share information
