Frequently asked questions

Is the imported CV really ATS-friendly?

The import writes into the same structured editor as every other HiredFolio CV: real sections, real dates, no columns or images for a parser to trip on. Run the ATS checker on it right after the import to see the score.

What if a section comes back empty?

It usually means LinkedIn was still collapsing that section. Open its full list — the “Show all” page — and run the import again from there; the side panel picks up the complete list.

What if my profile is in French?

It works. The parser reads the section labels and dates in the language your profile is written in, and recognises the local wording for an ongoing role, so a French profile imports as cleanly as an English one.

Does this work on other people's profiles?

The import is built for your own profile: it creates a CV in your account from the profile you're viewing.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Installing the extension and importing your profile are free, and the free plan holds up to two CVs. Paid plans add unlimited CVs and the AI tailoring features.

Role, company, dates, location, and the full description of each position.

LinkedIn only shows a few entries per section on the profile page. Open a section's full list and the import fills in the rest.

French, English, and beyond — dates and “present” are understood in each.

The extension parses the profile page open in your own logged-in session. It never crawls LinkedIn or fetches profiles in the background.

The imported CV is yours, editable and deletable at any time.

The capture lands in a review form. Nothing reaches your account until you submit it.
